January 11, 2023 – The Brampton Board of Trade hosted their monthly Connectwork event, including a discussion on Knowing Your Worth, lead by Upjit Kaur Kansal of JD Factors.
The event was hosted at Beaux Arts on Queen Street. Beaux Arts is a not-for-profit gallery offering visual exhibitions, artist membership and cultural events. Connectwork attendees also had the chance to experience the Winter Art Show and Sale while there.
Connectwork is a networking event geared towards women in business that provides a space for learning, discussion and (as the name implies) making connections. Although geared towards women, Connectwork is gender inclusive, and all individuals are encouraged to register.
Upjit Kaur Kansal, a Business Development Officer with JD Factors, called upon her work and life experiences to bring attendees a thoughtful presentation on knowing your worth and not selling yourself short. With her experience in factoring, and helping businesses improve their cash flow, Upjit understands the struggle people have in seeing their worth. After a quick exercise where attendees shared one word or sentence that described themselves, everyone left with a feeling of positivity about themselves and their work.
We would like to thank our sponsors JD Factors, Maple Lodge Farms, Dynacare and Prouse, Dash & Crouch. Without the support of our sponsors, we would not be able to host educational events that connect Brampton businesspeople socially.
