Earlier this week, Brampton Board of Trade members participated in the annual Prosperity Roundtable. Over 30 business and community leaders attended the event and shared insights and devised strategies on the topics of civic leadership, transportation and transit, talent, innovation and competitiveness. Highlights included a focus on what all levels of government can do to fill workforce gaps in areas such as the skilled trades, ways that we can improve Brampton has a destination with a ‘cool’ factor to live and work, and regulatory reform to enable growth-enabling projects to be completed faster. In the near future, the Prosperity Agenda will be updated and the 2023 edition will be released, serving as a roadmap to growth in Brampton as well as the basis of BBOT advocacy in 2023-24.
