The Brampton Board of Trade sprung into the season with our annual Holiday Trade Reception, returning to an in-person format for the first time in several years. It was terrific to be joined by more than 60 guests who work in import and export, as well as international business development, at the CN Brampton Yard’s stunning event space.
As we look ahead to 2023, it was encouraging to see such enthusiastic engagement from the diplomatic representatives of a wide range of countries. The Trade Reception saw participation at the Counsel General and/or Trade Commissioner level from the United States, Pakistan, Turkey, South Africa, Germany, Vietnam and more. All who attended expressed their commitment to deepening connections with Brampton businesses in the year to come.
The momentum from this event will carry forward to our Trade Network, which will resume regular meetings in 2023 to help Brampton business leaders forge new relationships to grow their presence in international markets.
A special thanks to Mayor Patrick Brown and Councillor Rod Power for their participation, as well as Past Chair Badar Shamim and Vice-Chair for Trade Kanwar Dhanjal for their support in putting on a terrific event.
