We believe in the boundless potential of all young people and want them to be empowered with the skills, confidence and networks to shape their own future.
Preparing youth for success in a global economy
JA Central Ontario is a youth-serving charity that equips students with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to navigate life, work, and leadership.
Together with a dedicated network of Brampton-based volunteers, donors, businesses and organizational partners, as well as educators, we deliver immersive learning experiences for students in grades 3-12, focusing on work readiness, financial health, entrepreneurship and more.

Mentors and donors make a difference
We see it time and time again: mentors and donors make a difference in the lives of young people. In Brampton, community members like you donate to, and volunteer with, JA Central Ontario to share their experience and expertise, supporting students to build real-world skills and connections.
We welcome volunteers to put their own name forward and encourage employers to create opportunities for their teams to get involved as a group. Volunteers not only help students prepare for a successful future but also enhance their own professional development. It’s a chance to meet fellow professionals from all walks of life, gain new perspectives, and create rewarding ties within the community.
Donors help prepare youth for life, meaningful work, and an opportunity to do good in the world.

Locally focused and globally connected
Our work covers Dufferin, Durham, Halton, Peel, Toronto, York and Simcoe regions. We are part of the world’s largest and most-impactful youth-serving NGOs – JA Worldwide – and work closely with our national network, JA Canada.

Impact that lasts a lifetime
As the next generation plans a future in a rapidly changing world, JA learning experiences are more important than ever. By building a wide range of skills and nurturing self-belief, JA prepares young people for the future of work, encourages entrepreneurial thinking, and ensures they have the tools to be financially capable adults.
