The Brampton Board of Trade is delighted to announce that Heather Strati, Partner with Deloitte, has been named 2022 Brampton Business Person of the Year.

The Business Person of the Year is awarded to an individual that has demonstrated business excellence and community leadership, contributing to the Brampton in both professional and personal endeavours. “We have seen firsthand the work Heather Strati has put in to bettering Brampton and strengthening our business community. From her time as Past Chair of the Board of Trade to other efforts she has undertaken and succeeded at, it is clear why she was selected as the 2022 Business Person of the Year.” says Michelle McCollum, Chair, Brampton Board of Trade.
Heather Strati is a partner and the Risk Leader in Deloitte Private in the Toronto and South Western Ontario area with 27 years of experience in the profession. Heather is an experienced advisor in various industries, including manufacturing, consumer business, professional services, public private partnerships (P3s) and real estate. She has worked with a diverse group of clients in Brampton and beyond, ranging from privately-held companies of all sizes to large public companies.
Ms. Strati focuses her efforts in guiding clients through business issues such as growth strategy and operational matters, as well as financial reporting requirements and related business and tax planning matters.
Heather is involved in many professional and community organizations such as: Past Chair of Brampton Board of Trade and serves on the Advisory Council to Ryerson University School of Accounting and Finance; Canada’s Best Managed Companies award program; and Woman Entrepreneur of the Year. She is Past Treasurer of Cardinal Leger Council, and Past Member of St. Mary’s Church Council in Brampton. Heather also acts as a mentor to several individuals.
Ms. Strati is a Chartered Professional Accountant/Chartered Accountant and is a member of the Canadian and Ontario Institutes of Chartered Professional Accountants. She holds a Bachelor of Business Management from Ryerson University.
Ms. Strati will be presented with the 2022 Business Person of The Year award at the Brampton Board of Trade Business Excellence Awards Gala on May 5, 2022.
