A Century of Impact: Highlights from Over 100 Years of Community Leadership
The Brampton Board of Trade was originally founded in Brampton, Ontario, in 1887.
1887
1950
Officially incorporated as Brampton Chamber of Commerce.
The Regional Government was formed and re-incorporated as The Brampton Board of Trade. Operated the motor vehicle licensing bureau from 1974-2015.
1974
1990s
The organization expanded its advocacy mandate, actively engaging provincial and federal governments on infrastructure, trade, and employment issues impacting Brampton businesses.
Evolved into a modern, advocacy-driven organization focused on policy leadership and representing Brampton businesses at all levels of government.
